Reality check: What the #$*! Do We Know!?

Whether or not you agree with the ideas presented in the documentary What the #$*! Do We Know!? (also known as What the Bleep), you'll surely be intrigued by this investigation into the nature of reality. A multi-award-winning film, What the Bleep brings together theologians, physicists, neurologists, and molecular biologists who present evidence that the reality we study with microscopes, for example, may be nothing more than a perception of our thinking.

Produced and directed by William Arntz, Mark Vicente, and Betsy Chasse, What the Bleep combines multidimensional visual effects, animation, drama, and interviews in an attempt to connect some dots between new findings in quantum physics, molecular biology, and neurology . . . and, perhaps, even spirituality. Marlee Matlin (Children of a Lesser God) stars as Amanda, a distressed photographer who has an Alice-in-Wonderland kind of experience in the unseen world of quantum physics.

Pete Boicourt, film buyer for McMenamin's Bagdad [sic] Theater in Portland, Oregon, says, "People are coming from all over to see it." Playing to sold-out audiences, this theater "has been swamped" since the film's opening in late February, with phone calls from people who just want to talk about what they've seen.
