Beyond brain power, God's control
Recently , TIME magazine reported on an emerging body of medical evidence about brain development in teenagers ("What makes teens tick," May 10, 2004). It's interesting that while this research indicates brain-based causes for so much of the turbulence associated with teen years, the article also offers that what will ultimately produce solutions is, in fact, spiritual. "Patience and love," it concludes, are what will help young people make up for "what their brain still lacks."
Patience and love, particularly from parents, are powerful to help physically or emotionally troubled teens.
