Please thank Danielle Perkins for her simple, yet profound, contribution in the May 3 issue, titled "In my Father's time." It is sheer poetry, both imaginative and inspiring.
The lines "demanding evidence/before I was ready/to receive it" touch a chord in my own experience, and encourage me to hang in there and press on! It rather reminds one of a small child who has been denied dessert until he eats his broccoli. I happen not to like broccoli, but I'll eat it if I must! To me the author is saying, "Blessings come in the Father's time—not mine."
