DURING MY FRESHMAN and sophomore years at college, I began questioning my faith. College life gave me new freedoms, and I started partying and drinking socially. I had a boyfriend who was always asking me questions about Christian Science, but I never felt I should be sharing anything about it because I didn't think I was being a good example of a Christian Scientist. Besides, I went to church only when I'd go home for the weekend.

I returned to campus my junior year, ready to start a Christian Science organization.
