what do you expect from your prayers?
Recently, I met a couple of women in a bookstore who were looking at books on spirituality. We began to chat, and the subject of prayer came up. I asked them how they went about praying.
One of the women said that she always began her prayers by thanking God. Then, she "called out to Him." Next, she asked God to tell her what to say during the day. She also asked Him to bless and help others.
I asked if she expected God to answer her prayers. "Oh yes," she said. "And I see Him at work in my life—there is always a change for the better." Then she told me how her prayer had even resulted in the removal of a tumor from the back of her neck.
