A new understanding of God

I was raised in a Baptist church, and stayed very involved with it until I was 18. At that point, I ventured out because I felt there was more to explore in spirituality. I wound up studying, among other things, New Age philosophy, transcendental meditation, and various Christian denominations. I was willing to try anything that offered a more expanded knowledge of God. Daily meditation and positive affirmations seemed to take me to a higher place, so I practiced them diligently.
