The courage to trust God—no matter what

Over The Last Few Years I've become an enthusiastic reader of adventure stories—the real-life dramas in which climbers, sailors, and explorers tell of battling through storms, ice, loneliness, and physical restrictions to prevail in seemingly hopeless situations. And I wonder, Would I have the courage to cross the nearly frozen seas of Antarctica to find help? Or, Could I keep my presence of mind to get off a mountain that had suddenly been hit by a howling windstorm of whiteout conditions?

All I can say for sure is that if I ever did find myself in such circumstances, I know I would be praying for strength and guidance. And I know I would rely on divine Love's care for me, no matter how desperate I might feel.

But there's another kind of courage, which might seem less dramatic, though it is no less powerful. This is the courage to trust God in every aspect of life, not only for safety, but for guidance in day-to-day matters, and for healing.
