I would like to tell you how I appreciate the Sentinel. It's a friend that comes in weekly to share some wonderful inspiration. Your articles have been so timely. I am being challenged right now with many things. The articles are so appropriate, giving me ideas on the things I am praying about. It's like God is giving me a great big hug. The language of the articles is so simple but yet so profound. Mary Baker Eddy requested that the Sentinel be kept "abreast of the times," and I feel it is being done so completely.

I have read that some people feel the articles should be more metaphysical. But I feel that they are metaphysical, and profoundly so. I especially loved an article in the August 16 issue ["The healing power of compassion"]—"Compassion—what it really means to love people" by Kim Shippey. It was so sensitively written that I was able to share it with people who know nothing about Christian Science. It started quite an uplifting discussion, because everyone could relate to it.

The world is reaching out for love, caring, and compassion, and it's awesome. Keep doing such a wonderful work in updating the magazine to meet the needs of this age.

Enjoy 1 free Sentinel article or audio program each month, including content from 1898 to today.
