People tell their stories
Strength in spirit
From the time I was a young girl, many people in my family viewed me as somewhat frail. One reason was that I suffered from what they called "weak spells." These were moments when I would suddenly feel faint and have to sit down, put my head down, and rest. After a few moments, the weak feeling would pass, and I could get up and continue with whatever I was doing.
I completely accepted this tendency as part of my identity. Even as a young woman, when I began to practice the teachings of Christian Science more fully, it never occurred to me to heal this condition. It was just something I lived with all the time—part of who I was.
As the years went by, I had wonderful healings through prayer, and other people began asking me to pray for them, too.
