Thank you so very much for the "Welcome" by Jewel Simmons titled "A special kind of grace" that opens the July 7 issue. I, too, have experienced this special grace many times through my years of practicing Christian Science for myself and others.

When I read Pam Chance's poem, "The enemy within," in the July 7 issue, I was very moved—and in tears of gratitude. I am so grateful that she took the opportunity to come to Berlin to the 2003 Annual Meeting of The Mother Church & Conference, see the city, meet its people, feel how awake everyone is—with the result that her "own walls came tumbling down." How wonderful! Isn't this what is so great about traveling: to reverse one's prejudices, one's awful experiences of long ago, and thus find healing and contribute to the healing of the world and to the establishment of peace in our hearts?
