I was standing in a checkout line at the grocery store, sneezing away, when the cashier leaned toward me and said, "I see you suffer from allergies."
"I don't understand it," I said, "I never had this as a child."
"Oh," she said knowingly, "you have an adult allergy. Lots of people get them later on in life."
