If only billboards along all highways worldwide were like the signs described by Susan Omar in "My prayer on the road to Alexandria," published in the April 21 issue. The writer told about signs in Arabic along the highway between Cairo and Alexandria in Egypt. She explained that the wording on the signs refers to Islamic prayers.

I'm so grateful to the writer for sharing her experience. It serves as a very special illustration of the universal brotherhood and sisterhood of us all as God's dearly loved children. And what a wonderful example of the simplicity and potency of prayer in action!

Also, in the April 21 issue, Alberto Nkula's comments about "Nothing more powerful than love" were inspiring. It was so humbling to read of the calm, trusting, prayerful approach adopted by Mr. Nkula and his family as Angolan refugees presently located in Islamabad, Pakistan. Their unquestionable courage in combating extreme hardship, combined with their willingness to broaden their prayers to embrace others in need, helped to reassure my own hope for ultimate world peace.
