contagious disease healed quickly

One day, about a year ago, I received a notice from my child's school warning that our daughter had been exposed to a disease called foot-hand-and-mouth disease. The notice stated that the disease is highly contagious, and gave a list of the symptoms, which can last up to a week.

Although I knew that the school administrators were acting according to their highest sense of responsibility by notifying parents, I was upset when I read this notice because it made me afraid for my daughter. I couldn't get rid of the thoughts and images of the symptoms. Nevertheless, because I was in the habit of trusting God's power to heal every kind of problem, I began to negate these anxious thoughts by considering the truth that God was present and that God never created disease.

The next day, however, the school called to tell me that my daughter was not feeling well and that she had a fever. I picked her up at school and found she had the same symptoms that the notice had warned about. Almost immediately, I, too, began to feel ill, and the same symptoms that she was dealing with appeared in me.
