Growth is healed through prayer
Originally published in Der Christian Science Herold
Experience is crucial to making spiritual progress. And I'd like to tell about my experience in praying for several months, which afforded me an important healing.
In 1997 a small festering spot appeared on my nose. At first I didn't pay any attention to it. I didn't think about it at all, expecting it would disappear. But over time it turned into a growth. Whenever I looked in the mirror, I saw it was still there. Family and acquaintances were very concerned about it. It became a problem for me that I had to solve.
I know from years of experience that clear, pure, disciplined thinking has a healing effect on the body. I've often seen how prayer produces this order in consciousness. That in turn makes it possible for the body to function according to this order.
