Journeying toward spirituality

A Couple of Saturday nights ago I was at the Barnes & Noble bookstore in the Kips Bay section of Manhattan, waiting for a movie next door to start.

As I leafed through the new books out on a table, I was amazed at how many of them were written to help people find their way, spiritually. And then when I watched the previews at the theater, one of the upcoming films had to do with angels—and seemed to have a message about moving out of the puzzle of life toward the clarity of spirituality. And there've been so many times lately when I've seen people reading books such as the Bible and the Koran—and other spiritually based books on the subway. In fact, the line I ride on has its regular reader/riders.

So many of us today are on a continuous spiritual journey. It seems to be the place to be if one is interested in hoping and praying for a better world.
