Recent Sentinel issue sparks healing
I had been to Plimoth Plantation in southeastern Massachusetts several times and felt I knew all there was to know about this recreation of a historic 17th-century settlement. But I didn't. Bettie Gray's article (November 25, 2002) brought out many points I hadn't noticed about the Native American perspective.
The week that article came out, I had been dealing with a bad cold on top of some business problems. I had missed several days of work. What stood out to me most in Ms. Gray's article was the healing she herself experienced during her visit. Maybe it was just a softening of attitude, but it touched me. That week, reading about the writer's gentling of thought started me on the track toward my own healing.
