Health: ours from God alone

I have studied Christian Science for 27 years, and have had many healings, but I'd like to tell of one that was particularly meaningful to me. I suffered from a recurring intestinal problem, involving diarrhea attacks that would last many days. I would lose weight and be left exhausted.

Every time these attacks occurred, I would pray and ask for help in prayer from a Christian Science practitioner. The attacks would pass, and I would regain weight. But, after a few months, they would then return.

The fourth time this happened the symptoms were particularly violent. My children became frightened and asked me to see a doctor. I was sure, however, that the problem would only be truly healed through spiritual means. I had learned through studying Christian Science—and had already proved in my life—that what we're thinking is very important. When healing is needed, an improvement of thought is required.
