How spiritual healing happens
I have used the method of spiritual healing most of my life. We raised two children by relying on prayer. Sometimes people are amazed at this and think we must be a very healthy family. Well, we are, but we've had our challenges like everyone else, and solved them, through prayer.
Here is a recent illustration of spiritual reliance. I had been having trouble for a long time with my wrist, having sprained it. There was a lump there, and I kept an ace bandage on it for support. The problem became aggravated when I went on a sailing holiday. I was trying to use my wrist as little as I could, but that was impossible with all the manual work required on the boat, pulling in sails and heaving the anchor in and out. I was feeling sorry for myself.
The second morning, I woke up with a bad headache, something unusual for me. I really felt I needed help, and my self-pity was only adding to the problems. I decided that I would pray. I felt that prayer would be the most helpful and effective way of dealing with the pain.
