Back infection healed through spiritual means

Many years ago when I was a young girl around 11, a kind neighbor offered Christian Science to my mother, who was a single parent with a full-time job outside the home.

We lived in Miami Beach at the time, and the rest of my mother's family was in Cincinnati, so my mother had full responsibility for my care and upbringing. The neighbor told my mother about Christian Science and took her to church with her. My mother welcomed this immediately as a new way of life, and I could actually feel her stressful concern for me—an only child—lessen.

Much later, when I became a wife and the mother of a toddler, I needed help. My mother had never actually offered Christian Science to me, because she believed my grandmother would not approve, but she lived what it teaches to the fullest. She was full of love, and it spread to others. Everybody loved her. She was a great support to me and loved me unconditionally. I knew that no matter what happened to me, I would always have a friend in my mother.
