Through a spiritual lens—"HURRY WAIT"
I was returning from a short vacation to Texas. It was the first time I had flown since September 11, and I wasn't sure what to expect. I made sure to arrive early. To my surprise, security lines were short and both flights were uneventful. With plenty of time in Dallas before my return flight, I decided to practice some "pan action" photo shots.
This photo, "Hurry wait," reminds me of a phrase that my mom was fond of saying when my brothers and I were growing up. We would be with her at the grocery store or anywhere a line formed, and she would say, "Let's hurry up and wait."
There always seems to be some obstacle to our forward movement. Traffic jams, checkout lines, and other waiting areas frustrate people daily. Patience and prayer are wonderful tools to employ during these moments. And, for me, a bit of photography can make the wait a lot more fun!
