Prayer after car is stolen
Translated from Portuguese
One day, as usual, I parked my car along a tree-lined street near my workplace. At the end of the day, when I came back, the car was no longer there.
I would here like to take the time to thank God for my having been introduced to Christian Science, and for the new understanding of God that has resulted from my ten-year study of the Bible and of Science and Health. This study, without a doubt, helped me to feel very calm at the exact moment when I became aware of the theft. Thoughts of harmony and love came to me effortlessly.
I went back to the office and told my colleagues what had happened. They were indignant. Two of them offered to take me to the police station to file a report. During all this time, although my car was not insured for theft, I remained calm, thinking about the harmony of the divine creation. God did not create thieves, or victims of theft. In the kingdom of God, where we all really are, all are satisfied.
