'Bombay, we salute you'
A city rises up to fight terrorism.
Subhash And Indu Malhotra live in Bombay (Mumbai). India is a country with a population of 948 million. It is made up of 35 unions and states and has 18 languages, as well as half a dozen religions. Subhash has worked at home and abroad as an industrial engineer; and has traveled extensively throughout the world. Indu has been a homemaker and has also marketed wrought-iron furniture for her father's business. Now she caters executive lunches for corporations.
The Malhotras have faced headon the sometimes severe challenges stemming from unrest in India. They've seen that people from highly diverse backgrounds can grow to respect and help one another.
The Sentinel talked with the Malhotras about the spiritual dimensions of cultural diversity.
