Real estate problems resolved

Original in Portuguese

Through my study of Christian Science, I am learning how to pray. My son was unemployed for three years, and he, his wife, and their baby lived with my husband and me, because they could not afford a home of their own. He sat for several exams for different jobs and did well, but he was never called with a job offer. As I prayed to help him, this thought inspired me and gave me peace: "Every function of the real man is governed by the divine Mind" (Science and Health, p. 151).

Soon my son was offered a good job, and two weeks after that he was offered an even better job. After only one month, he qualified for a mortgage. The young couple wanted to move right away, but they still had no money to furnish their new apartment.

My husband and I are real estate agents, and right at that time we were given a listing to sell an apartment. It was fully furnished and decorated, and everything was new, as it had only been used for a few months. Well, the apartment sold quickly, and our client not only gave us a full commission but also all the apartment's contents—furniture, curtains, electronic appliances, china, crystal, everything. I cried softly, with joy, and surprised the client when I said out loud, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding" (Prov. 3:5).
