Divine help at the edge of a waterfall

Whenever my husband and I need our "batteries" recharged, we usually choose to hoist a pack on our backs and head for the hills. Bush walking is a favourite leisure activity for Don and me. One of our destinations a number of years ago was Swaziland. With a good friend, Andrew we set our sights on hiking along the Nkomati River to the tributary Malolotja River, and following it upstream until we reached the Malotoja Falls. Andrew had a contract working as town engineer in Mbabane. And on one of his many trips into the country, he had discovered the falls, which he had admired from the top. It was his sense of adventure that had initiated our backpacking trip, as he thought it would be cool to view falls from their plunge pool. Shortly after sunrise on the second day, we headed off on a reconnoitering trip to give us a sense of distance and direction.

Whoops! Up went my legs, and I was swiftly carried face down toward the lip of the waterfall.
