Corns gone overnight
One of my first spiritual healings occurred soon after I began to study Christian Science. I had ugly, painful corns on my toes.
One day a friend said that she had seen me downtown and that I had been limping. I called the Christian Science practitioner who had prayed for me before. She made several inspiring remarks, including an idea that was entirely new to me, but that helped me glimpse the truth. The idea was that, because I was spiritual, a corn was not part of me and could not become attached to who I really was. I was so inspired that I thought about this the rest of the day.
The next morning the pain was gone. I was overjoyed when I looked at my toes—they were entirely smooth. Not a trace of the corns was left. I had been completely healed when I accepted without reservation what the practitioner had said to me.
