Severely cut thumb healed
Five years ago I started reading Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Then I decided to begin studying the Weekly Bible Lessons in the Christian Science Quarterly. At the same time I also began to pray each day for God's guidance and protection in my work as an electrical contractor. I felt this was necessary because of the type of work required of my employees and me. This daily prayer helped me in so many ways on the job. It also brought me healing.
One day I had to cut some sheet steel. It was touching a very large mirror. The vibration of the cutting caused the mirror to fall. It sliced into my thumb, severely injuring it.
Instantly these thoughts came to me: "God loves me. I am His child. He is keeping me safe and well." These ideas comforted me. I felt calm. I felt God right there with me.
