Persistent prayer pays off
Several years ago I was suffering from a violent cough and was so congested that breathing was difficult.
Although I was not able to keep up with my normal activities, I washed and dressed each day and did whatever I could. I felt it was important to express Life and not give in to sickness. Since I was unable to sleep, my nights were spent in prayer. A Christian Science practitioner prayed with me for several days, and then I decided to continue praying on my own. There was still no improvement.
One day I was inspired by a healing of snakebite that I came across in a testimony. I went over this testimony many times. The testifier's absolute trust in God was what impressed me most. He never doubted for a moment that God would heal him.
