No longer vulnerable to poison ivy
From the time I was 12 until I was 25, I had ivy poisoning every summer. After I was married, I was again suffering from poison ivy rash, and my wife, a Christian Scientist, asked me to talk to a Christian Science practitioner.
The practitioner spoke at some length about how the Bible describes creation in the first and second chapters of Genesis, and turned my attention to what Mary Baker Eddy wrote about this account. This helped me to see that God's creation is totally spiritual, not partly spiritual and partly material. I washed off all my poison ivy treatments and depended on prayer for healing.
The next day,
my skin was
like a newborn
baby's.
The next day, my skin was like a newborn baby's. I could not explain to my colleagues at work what had happened. so I said nothing. Although I've since been out in the brush and have even handled poison ivy plants, there has been no return of ivy poisoning in over 50 years.
