Please forward my thanks to Nancy Humphrey Case for her article "God's guidance—constant, certain, complete" (June 26), in particular the first full paragraph on page 14, about the "comforting and gentle chastisement." It was the catalyst for the turning of a corner in my thinking.

The article "Beyond 9-1-1" (June 19) when the people in the boat were six miles from shore and literally beyond 9-1-1 help reminded me of the ever-present help we carry with us continually, that is the ninety-first Psalm: "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."
