Get ready for the Games
In September , on the threshold of the new millennium, Sydney, Australia, will host the Olympics. Right now, organizers and athletes around the world are fine-tuning their preparations. Everyone wants these games to be special. They want them to celebrate the millennial era through greater sporting achievements.
With expectations riding so high, some say there is the potential for major letdown. While no one wants things to go wrong, what can be done if plans do go awry? Can we enjoy this world spectacle and stay free of disappointment? During a previous Olympics, I discovered a very helpful answer to these questions.
