The light of Truth restores health
I had not been feeling well, and my hair was falling out. The physical appearance was so disturbing that I couldn't seem to move beyond it. At first all I could do was cry, partly out of pure frustration, but mostly from the fear that this was the symptom of a more serious condition.
When my thought finally became calmer, I began to reason: I know that Christian Science heals, that God listens and cares, that what I was seeing was not the reality. I decided to seek the understanding of what was true and find the spiritual sense of my identity. I prayed to God for guidance.
A question from Mary Baker Eddy's writings came to mind, ". . . is a stone spiritual?" Her reply: "To erring material sense, No! but to unerring spiritual sense, it is a small manifestation of Mind, a type of spiritual substance . . ." (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 27). I asked, "Is hair spiritual?" No (I answered), but I could see that it represents a type of spiritual substance.
