Dear Sentinel,
In Sunday School we had been talking about how to "love thy neighbour as thyself," by seeing everyone as God made them—as His loving children. The next week I was in a situation where I experienced us being God's loving children.
One day a new girl started at school. She was from Egypt, and her name was Rudo. At break time, I saw Rudo by herself, and then some girls went over to her and started picking on her and pushing her. I was watching, and I thought, she is a child of God like I am, and so are the other girls.
When I had finished thinking, the girls had gone. So I went to Rudo and I helped her get up, and we made friends. Then soon after, the girls that had been picking on her came over and they made friends with Rudo as well.
