Lessons learned from race car driving

I Was Coming Around the curve, going fast. The roads were soaked, and the water continued to splash across the pavement. As instructed, I jammed my foot on the brakes, and we started to skid. Not just a small slide, but fast and hard as the vehicle began to spin. The racing instructor sitting next to me said, "Keep your eyes focused on the direction you want to go. Stay focused on the spot ahead."

By the time the train pulled into the station, I was able to walk out with the rest of the passengers.
