Prayer heals sudden illness

Recently I suddenly felt overtaken by a headache that prevented me from continuing my work properly. Then nausea developed to make me feel far worse. I started praying to know that this illness was not a part of the real me—the spiritual expression of God that could not be discordant in any way. But rather than continue to pray, I let my work take over my thinking, and the situation got no better. Half an hour of that was enough.

I stopped work, shut my eyes, shut out all that was going on, and turned wholly to God. God created all in His likeness—harmonious and eternal—and there is nothing inharmonious in His creation. Because God is the only creator, there could be no reality to discord, pain, headache, or nausea. A few moments later, the headache and nausea were no more. The relief was tremendous. I again shut my eyes to sincerely express my gratitude to God, our dear Parent.

I reflected on His great ever-present love for us, and then confirmed the healing by realising that God, the creator of all, certainly did not make sickness, and neither did He make matter. This gives us our natural right to freedom from all sickness and error, which come with the belief that man is material. God made us perfect and maintains His perfect creation. I thanked God for the way He created us.
