Healing precludes need for surgery
Going over all the blessings we have had over the many years since Christian Science has become our rock of salvation, our first experiences will always be vivid in my memory.
When I was a little girl, we lived in what was then the Netherlands East Indies (now Indonesia). Every Sunday we went up into the mountains for a swim, pony riding, and other sports activities. But the next day I would have a sore throat and run a temperature, and I could not go to school for a few days. By the next Sunday, however, all would be well again, and the story would repeat itself.
So, after some time, my parents thought it advisable to take me to a doctor. He came to the conclusion that a nose operation was the only remedy. This operation was a bad experience. The aftereffects were worse. But worst of all, this doctor said that a second operation would be necessary within six months.
