Quick healings of illness and pain
Recently, I woke feeling ill. There flashed in my thought a memory of some people I knew who had been out of work for several days because of illness. The physical difficulty ended instantly, however, when I affirmed "all well–all well." This is abbreviated from the broader fact that all of God's Spirit's, substance is well—all is healthy. Infinite God and His creation exist in wellness, in His likeness. In the Bible's words, we are "every whit whole" (see John 7:23). For me, this was an instructive incident. It showed me that the body responds to what we think.
Another memorable quick healing occurred some years earlier. In a strawberry patch, I was stung by an insect, and my hand became very painful. I stood up, closed my eyes and declared, "God is all—God is all." And the pain instantly drained away. This was an eye opener. Counter to material law, a spiritual realization can bring quick correction to physical problems, and the body prospers.
