Dear Sentinel,
I had just finished playing tennis with my sister and her friend, and was getting into my mom's car. I didn't realize that my hand was still in the car door when the friend closed the door all the way on my fingers. I yelled, and my mom had to reach over quickly from her seat to open the door. My hand really hurt and I started crying. Right away Mom started saying that there are no accidents in God's kingdom.
When we got home a few minutes later, Mom and I went into the living room. Mom brought her Science and Health, a dictionary, and another book I didn't know—a Concordance to the writings of Mary Baker Eddy. She read from Science and Health about accidents, and I started praying with her. We knew that there are no accidents in God's kingdom, and that I couldn't be outside of God's kingdom. Since God is spiritual and I am His reflection, I am spiritual, too. No material accident could touch me.
Soon I felt perfect. That night I had an important baseball playoff game and was able to hit a double with the bases loaded! My hand didn't hurt at all.
