Abscessed tooth healed

About five years ago I was having a great deal of discomfort in one of my teeth. When I went to the dentist for a routine cleaning, he took an X-ray.

He told me I had an abscessed tooth (which he showed me on the X-ray) and recommended that I have a root canal procedure done immediately. When he asked if I would like to book an appointment, I told him that I wanted to heal it through prayer. He knew I was a Christian Scientist, but he felt that there was absolutely no cure for this, other than surgery, because the nerve had died. He then described in vivid detail what the consequences of not having the root canal would be.

When he left the room, I put my head back, closed my eyes, and prayed, asking God what He wanted me to do. Very quickly the answer came in these words from Matthew's Gospel: "Cleanse the lepers, raise the dead." And I thought, "Oh my, He really expects me to raise the dead."
