Love him more

"When we began to implement our new willingness to 'love him more,' our son began to want to do things on his own."

Our four-year-old had injured one of his ankles and was hopping around on one leg. His mother and I prayed with him, and progress was evident. After a few days, however, the condition took a turn for the worse. I found myself up late that night, comforting a crying child complaining of pain in his foot. I reached out to God with my whole heart for a clearer understanding of what was needed for this little one to be well. As I listened to God, I heard in thought, "You need to love him more."

Love him more? How can we love him more than we already do?

"You need to love him more," the message repeated.
