Prayer heals asthma, allergies, and chronic laryngitis
Several years ago, I had allergies and asthma, for which I had been taking shots for about four years. The asthma was particularly bad at night. It frequently made my breathing so labored that I was unable to sleep.
I also began to lose my voice for a day or two at a time. Since I make my living as a theatrical and musical performer, this was a serious problem. I went to a voice specialist, who diagnosed the condition as reflux laryngitis. He prescribed medication and dietary restrictions that gave me some temporary relief.
But problems seemed to compound. The voice and sleep problems became worse. It became increasingly difficult to work, and I was worried that I might become an invalid. I went to a sleep specialist, who conducted tests and prescribed more medication.
