Pain and severe cough healed spiritually

For years I had been searching for a satisfying religion. One Wednesday evening I walked into a Christian Science church where a weekly testimony meeting was being held. I liked what I heard.

A few days later, while I was working in the store that my husband and I operated, my legs and feet were very painful. The stone floor was very hard, and I'd been on my feet on that floor since nine in the morning. It was six o'clock on a Saturday night, and there were three hours to go before closing. I wondered what I would do with three more hours on that stone floor!

Suddenly I remembered something I'd heard at that church service: "... matter has no sensation" and "Mortal mind is a myth ..." These citations, I learned later, were from Science and Health (p. 485) and from Miscellaneous Writings (p. 82)—both by Mary Baker Eddy.
