How spiritual scientists are cracking the genetic code—outside of the chemistry lab.
Breaking the genetic code
For years, a dedicated band of natural scientists has worked earnestly to break the genetic code. They're involved in what's called The Human Genome Program. The purpose is an attempt to discover just how we are put together genetically, to create a genetic "map" of humankind. It is believed that if people can be defined and understood accurately according to genetics, doctors and genetic researchers could engineer better lives.
In a wholly separate arena, another dedicated band of scientists has also been working earnestly—in a very different way—to break the genetic code. They could be called "spiritual scientists." While the natural scientist's effort in breaking the genetic code is to make it a coherent way of understanding and defining life, the spiritual scientist's effort is to break through the belief that man can be engineered or defined by genetics.
The spiritual scientist, or Christianly scientific thinker, is working to prove in daily life the great truths of the Bible—the truths that Christ Jesus brought so graphically to light. One of those truths is that material heredity is never a facet of man's real being. Man's heritage and destiny are entirely spiritual. He is blessed by his creator with pure Spirit-likeness. This band of spiritual scientists works and prays to prove more fully the validity of Bible insights that reveal man as the offspring of Spirit, not matter; constituted of spirituality, not materiality.
