From hypochondria to peace of mind
Two years ago in Taiwan a national conference was scheduled just as the monsoon season was winding up. The day before the conference, weather reports broadcast storm warnings that a typhoon would hit Taipei the next day. The sky was already being shrouded in darkness.
Conference officials began preparing for the worst. I decided to pray, in full faith that though neither I nor anyone else can control the weather, God can.
The next day, when the conference was held, there was overflowing attendance. The typhoon had veered away, out toward the Pacific. I was so grateful.
