A Christian Scientists who devote their full professional time to the ministry of Christian healing. To be a practitioner requires humility and love. It also demands Bible study, consecrated prayer, and a demonstrated ability to apply spiritual understanding to the overcoming of human ills and discords. Preparation includes a course of study with an authorized teacher of Christian Science and a record of successful healing of others.

Q What public recognition has Christian Science healing received?

A Many insurance companies in the United States recognize Christian Science treatment on the same reimbursement basis as medical treatment. Either directly or indirectly, the right to rely on Christian Science treatment is recognized by various federal and state laws. The legal right to practice Christian Science healing is firmly established in the United States and elsewhere in the world.
