How I found the perfect job
God's direction: the right route
SEVERAL YEARS AGO , I was told by my employer that our company was having financial difficulty and would close. Immediately I looked for employment in the local newspaper but found only one advertisement listed in my field.
I began praying to God for guidance, and as I did I remembered this passage from the Bible: "And his allowance was a continual allowance given him of the king, a daily rate for every day, all the days of his life" (II Kings 25:30). While this passage refers specifically to a young Hebrew leader's restoration to honor in the courts of Babylon, I saw it as a promise that God provides everyone's daily needs, including employment.
