Memory loss? Forget it!
In the growing complexity of life, does it sometimes seem as though you are forgetting more than you're remembering? For instance, you put something in the refrigerator that should have gone in a cupboard. "Oh, how absent-minded!" Or you can't remember a friend's name when you go to introduce him. "Oh dear, my mind's gone blank!" Or you're telling a story and suddenly forget the main point. "Good heavens—a complete lapse!" These beliefs may seem like very innocent little self-deprecations. But it's important to turn this around, and there is a way to do it.
If we label ourselves as forgetful, that's how we're liable to be.
