I was going downstairs to see Mommy
I was going downstairs to see Mommy. I slipped and slid down the stairs and hurt my back. I was crying for a while. My mommy carried me, singing me a hymn. Then, we read from the Sentinel. I felt better and I played with my sister's block toys. I thought about God and me. I thought that God is everywhere. My back stopped hurting and I could run and play.
Becca Knox
Fort Collins, Colorado
Becca has always been so receptive to ideas about God's loving care for her, and enjoys learning about God as Father and Mother of all dear children. In our house in Japan, we had a very steep and narrow staircase without a handrail, and this is where Becca slipped and fell down. Though it seemed that she had hurt her back, she was quickly healed of any immobility or pain. There was some bruising, but that faded in a few days.
