Wait
Patiently, I have waited for the Lord's blessings.
"Speak, ... for thy servant heareth."*
And yet, sometimes, still I feel unsure.
Is God there?
Then, inspiration dawns—I finally see
My wait isn't for, it's on!
I wait on the Lord and am at peace,
A servant in the household of God;
Employed, directed, supplied,
Destined for harmony.
With a place to rest, yet, a duty to obey Him,
I calmly walk in the security of a sure
purpose—to love.
Patiently I "wait on" God
And know the joy of His direction.
Health, peace, security, harmony
Are mine.
I serve in the household of my
God.
*I Sam. 3:9.
