In one of our weekly planning meetings, a member of the editorial staff who is also a mother commented on her distress about reports of young people involved in self-destructive behavior.
Her comments got our attention! We asked some of our writers to explore what it is that leads young people—and others—to drift toward evil instead of good. They've provided helpful insights into how a love of God's harmony and stability can break one free from antisocial behavior and illicit activities.
Also, at this time when the Christian world is again rejoicing in Christ Jesus' ultimate victory over evil through his resurrection, "What makes Christianity unique?" speaks of the real message of Jesus' life and its promise that God is always with us. And "Truth, forgiveness, healing" offers ideas for prayer that can help in connection with the legal proceedings currently going on relating to the bombing of the government building in Oklahoma City in 1995.
