Easter lily

Lucy Chambers Karwell

It stands erect and tall
Pristine blooms, pure white
Floral symbol to us all
Of resurrection's light.

Its fragrance fills my room
Gently speaks to me
Lifts awakening thought from gloom
To immortality.
